Follow these steps to remove the hood and HVAC blower

Removing the hood:
1. open the hood
2. remove the plastic cover in front of the windshield
3. undo the electrical connections that go to the heated washer nozzles in the hood
4. undo the washer hoses that go to the hood
5. put a thick towel over the car in the area where the front of the hood normally closes
6. Take a good look at the hinges, make a photo, this helps aligning it later on
7. loosen the 4x 13mm bolts that hold the hood to the hinges
8. undo the rear bolts at the hinges. The hood is not still open as the shocks hold it up
9. undo the shocks. Hold the hood. The hood will now rest on the front where the towel is.
10. put a towel in the hinge area, undo the second 13mm bolt. The hood will hang on the hinge.
11. put a towel in the other hinge area, undo the 13mm bolt
12. take notice of the number of spacers that are used at each side, and then remove these spacers
13. take the hood off.

Removing the HVAC blower:
1. remove the right side wiper
2. undo the bolt that holds the metal cover (the one that the wiper shaft protrudes) to the chassis
3. lift the cover just a little so that it can move freely at one side
4. the HVAC blower is held in plate with 3x 8mm bolt. Actually they are screws, not metric bolts
5. undo bolt #1 bolt that holds the blower, it is located right below the hinge
6. move the rubber boot that connects the blower to the air duct to one side so you have access to bolt #2 that hides down there
7. in the interior, in the footwell on passenger side, at the recirculation grid, there is a long 8mm bolt#3 that needs undoing
8. the blower unit can now be taken out of the car
9. since you now have room in the blower cavity, do a good cleanup. Dirt that accumulates will clog the drain which in the end causes water to drip on your ecu's just below. This is serious trouble when it happens.
