The 928 S4, GT and GTS have dual Hella made license plate lamps that shine down on the plate. They use a 5 watt Soffit bulb.

The plastic housing is attached with two screws and covered at the rear with a rubber cap. The wires for 12v and Gnd go through this cap and attach at teh sides of the lamp assembly. Here are some pictures:
