The Front side flexplate clamp is a problem maker, that is commonly known. But if this is locked in place properly you can imagine that the force now only lands on the flexplate where it is supposed to lad.... except for the fact that there is also a rear clamp on the long trans axle.
This rear clamp is capable of holding the axle better because of the cavity where the bolt goes trough. It is basically locked in place. Here is a picture:
But surely this clamp needs to be tight as well. Checking this would not be a bad idea.
