I have the Dash POD out, along with
the center console. I have removed one screw on the top side of the ignition
switch, and could not find the other screw, I felt around but could not feel it.
I think it must have been left out by the PO. The steering wheel is still
connected, as it contains the air bag unit. What else needs to be removed in
order for the ignition switch to come out so it can get replaced while I am in
there.
Thanks

if you have the 2 screws off the back of the switch, the wire plug is pulled off
then then it should pull out.

When I replaced mine, I had a heck of a time with the second screw (the one at
10:00 from the rear).
A mirror showed that a phillips head screw had been used instead of a slotted
screw.
So I had one of each.
Good luck on this. I hope that the PO didn't use JB Weld.

i did use a mirror and there is no screw in the second slot. It appears that
someone might have used some sort of sealant to keep it in place.
