Sometimes steering issues may result from the steering axle coupler. This coupler is located just above the steering rack, and transfers the rotation over an angle. Any looseness or excessive play of maybe being not tight will cause steering play. Another issue is fitting it under pressure, which should obviously not be the case. The last bit to do is tighten de bolt that holds the input to the steering rack.
