One other option to fix steering rack movement (and thus sloppy steering) is to lock the rack directly to the mounting frame.
To lock up the rack
tightly, use these washers:
Outer diameter: 1.45", 36,8 mm
Inner diameter: 0.84" (3/16), 21,3 mm
Thick: 0.144", 4,5 mm
8 pieces are needed, one above and one below the rack. Tighten the bolts firmly
and check for tightness after a week or so.
