Okay passenger door is fixed!! For some odd reason the locking lever (in the door release mechanism) got stuck in the locked position...typically it releases when the interior door handle is pulled...but it was stuck? After about a million trips between the working and broken door to look at the internals...a pair of long needle nose pliers used like a pry bar "encouraged" the locking lever back into its correct position! Here are some pics!
