just the other day my steering column switch assembly started to act a bit strange. Turn cancellation suddenly stopped working, sometimes the turn lever lock failed, and sometimes I could not engage the turn signal at all. After some poking around with the lever, it partly worked again... for while. I got myself a replacement and put it in. fairly simple. Took about 15 minutes. All works fine now.

I took the old part apart to see what was actually causing the trouble. Maybe some of you would like to know if it is repairable or not. I think mine was broken beyond repair.

I took the lid off (drilled out the fasteners) and was not too amazed to find a small part of the turn signal lever broken off and stuck in the mechanism.
